4 of the Best Hen Party Games for a Great Laugh

Hen Party   /   Feb 8th, 2018   /   0 COMMENTS   /  A+ | a-

One of the things that we Buff Butlers do when we host a hen party is to arrange some party games.  Remember when you were a kid and went to a birthday party – there were games?  Well, these are nothing like those!  Here are four of the most popular ones to consider when planning your hen party.

The cereal box game

Who knew that an empty cereal box could be such a laugh?  The idea of this game is simple – you manage the challenge, or you are out.  All you need is an upright cereal box in a circle on the floor.  Everyone takes a turn at picking it up – with their mouth.  You can’t use your hands and you can’t kneel on the floor.  Everyone takes a turn at picking it up and anyone who fails it out.
Sounds easy right?  But after the first round, we cut an inch off the top of the box meaning it is smaller and nearer to the floor.  Around we go again and each time, we keep cutting off an inch until we just have the flat floor of the box left.  The winner is the one (or ones) who can still pick it up!

Never have I ever…

This is a great one as a drinking game and some of the comments will get funnier (and more revealing) as the competition goes along.  The idea is that you go around in a circle and you have to say something that you have never done.  It might be skydiving, getting married or anything else you want to share.  And everyone in the circle who HAS done that thing has to take a drink.
The winner can either be the soberest person at the end or the drunkest, depending on how you want to do it!

Toilet paper wedding dress

There’s a lot of talk about wedding dresses in the lead up to the hen party, so this game continues the theme.  Only with toilet paper.  We split into two teams and you have to work together to make the most impressive dress out of just toilet paper.  You can use one of the team members as a model.  There’s no real way to decide on what’s best, we just go with our judgement on the day!

Mr & Mrs game

If you are organising the hen party for the bride, then this is a brilliant game that needs a little preparation.  You put together a set of question that you ask the groom to be.  Then you ask these questions to the bride to be on the night.  Every incorrect answer results in either a dare or a drink, depending on how you want to do it.  Questions can be things like:
  • What’s the most embarrassing thing he would say you have ever done?
  • What would he say is your most annoying habit?
  • What’s your bra size (and what did he say)?
The game is based on a 1960s TV show that was reinvented in the late 2000s with Philip Schofield.  If you want to add another fun element to it, you can video the groom to be’s answers and show them after the bride to be has given her answer – that’s always good for a lot of laughs!

Bobby was amazing and charming and really got involved with the vibe of our party. He was happy to play the games we already had planned and also had some games of his own...including his good friend frank!! 😄 we would definitely recommend Bobby to anyone!! 🥰

Andy was brilliant made us feel at ease and made the whole afternoon so good! Only criticism I had was we booked the package with the materials and a bottle of Prosecco for the winner but we didn’t have the bottle of Prosecco so a bit gutted as there was £35 difference between the two packages but don’t feel like we got that extra bit out of it. Thanks

We hired a butler for a 50th Birthday party - we were a little worried as being a little bit more mature that we would end up with a butler around the same age as our sons! We had Andy and all we can say is .... brilliant! He was the perfect host he put us all at ease and took over our gathering for the next hour. He made the start of our evening so much fun and everyone had an amazing time. So if you are considering it just go for it and let them know about what would work for your group. Amazing thank you Andy, scores on the doors 10 put of 10 for your butler duties and buff well 11 out of 10 ! Thank you

I booked 2 butler's for a 50th Girls night to entertain a group of 8 girls. I was a little apprehensive as i booked as a surprise. Our butlers were Martin and David and they were absolutely fabulous. It was the best part of our weekend and will be remembered for a long time. They were very professional, fantastic sports and such good fun I really cannot recommend them enough. I would not hesitate in booking them again and all I can say is if you are thinking of booking them don't hesitate as you won't regret it. Thanks guys you made our night and the birthday girls night one she will never forget.

We were very pleased with our butler, Andy. He was an excellent entertainer, arrived in good time and got everyone up and doing games...even the more prudish ones of the group! We were a hen do group of mixed ages (from 25 to 55) and Andy adapted his games perfectly! He was super organised and so it gave us bridesmaids a break from our duties so we could just join in with the fun too. Everyone loved it and we were lucky to have him! Please pass on our thanks again! Lucy

I cannot fault butler bookings, communication was great from start to finish and we had such a good laugh with the two butlers, Marc and Kieran. They played games with us and always kept everyone's drinks topped up. Thank you both so much for being awesome and making my sisters hen do one to remember!
