Travelling abroad for a hen party is great fun but sometimes you want to stay a little closer to home. The good news is that there are some amazing spots around the UK for a hen party, regardless of what kind of activities or night you want to plan. Here are some of our favourite places for a UK hen party.
Manchester
Manchester is a top combination of great shopping locations, loads of top restaurants and clubs as well as spa facilities for a relaxing time. There’s the Arndale Centre and the Trafford Centre for shopping while some of the city hotels also have their own spa facilities and are located right in the middle of town. Enjoy shopping, spa then hit the town for a great meal or some dancing.
Newcastle
Newcastle has risen to be one of the top hen and stag spots in the UK and for good reason. There’s loads to do in the city with great shopping for the daytime and plenty of different options for the nightlife. From river boat cruises to restaurants along the Quayside and lots of places for a tasty cocktail, there’s something to suit all hen party ideas.
Brighton
Head to the south coast if you want that seaside vibe and a great party. Brighton is known for its nightlife with everything from dance clubs to cabaret nights and much more. You can also spend some time relaxing on the beach or visit Brighton Pavilion for a fun sightseeing trip.
Liverpool
Liverpool offers culture and is a must-see place for Beatles fans as well as those who just love the musical history of the UK. There is also a strong maritime history in the city and this can be seen on Albert Dock. As well as great nightlife there are some fun activities in the country parks around the city if you want something a little more active.
Bournemouth
Another seaside town, Bournemouth is also a water sports hub for those active hens. From wakeboarding to canoeing, kayaking and water skiing there are loads of activities around the town and there’s even an Aquapark. For land-based activities, try quad biking or indoor go-karting. The nightlife is also great, and the smaller size of the town makes it ideal for the classic pub crawl.
Bristol
Bristol is a popular student town, and this means plenty of places for the nightlife. It is also a vibrant art and music city, so you can combine activities. There are booze cruises along the River Severn and you can also enjoy a classic cider tasting experience with real Somerset cider from the area.
Leeds
Leeds is another spot for the active hen party and is great to combine experiences. The Yorkshire Dales are close by with loads of activities on offer while the city itself offers fun experiences such as cocktail masterclasses. There’s lots of music venues to enjoy live music and dancing.
