There are several ways to work with us. Buff Butler events involve hosting parties, serving drinks, leading games and keeping guests entertained. Life Drawing combines modelling with hosting relaxed drawing sessions for groups. Cocktail Classes are lively, hands-on experiences led for hen parties and other celebrations. Available opportunities vary by location, experience and training.

No previous experience is required. We provide paid training alongside experienced team members. Every booking includes a clear brief, travel information and support from our office.

What kinds of work could I be offered?
Most new team members begin with Buff Butler events, serving drinks supplied by the client, hosting party games and keeping the atmosphere lively. As you gain experience, you may also be offered Life Drawing sessions and Cocktail Classes. Opportunities vary by location, experience and training.
When do most bookings take place?
Most work takes place from Friday to Sunday, usually during the evening. Events are mainly hen parties, birthdays, ladies' nights and other private celebrations.
Do I need previous experience?
No. To help you build confidence, your first bookings will usually be alongside experienced team members before you begin working independently.
Can I choose which bookings I accept?
Yes. Job offers are sent by text message and you choose whether to accept each opportunity. A booking is only confirmed when you receive our email with “Job Details” in the subject line.
What kit will I need?
Before your first Buff Butler booking, you will need a plain black apron with no branding and a black bow tie. Footwear can be flip-flops or barefoot. After 10 completed jobs, you will receive a free branded apron from us.
How and when will I be paid?
Payments are made every Tuesday by bank transfer for work completed during the previous week. Full rates and payment details are provided when a successful applicant joins the team.
Are travel expenses paid?
Yes. Travel is paid at 30p per mile outside a 10-mile radius from your home address. It is calculated automatically, so it is important to keep your address up to date.
What is expected of team members?
We expect you to be professional, reliable and ready to create a brilliant experience for every group. You should arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to change into your kit, and give at least seven days' notice if you need to cancel a confirmed booking.
